About the UM School of Business Administration
The University of Miami School of Business Administration is a comprehensive business school, offering undergraduate business, full-time MBA, Executive MBA, MS, PhD and non-degree executive education programs. One of 12 colleges and schools at the University of Miami, the School is located in a major hub of international trade and commerce and acclaimed for the global orientation and diversity of its faculty, students and curriculum. The School delivers its programs at its main campus in Coral Gables as well as at locations across Florida and abroad.
The School’s faculty members also participate in leading business conferences as keynote speakers and conference chairs, serve as officers for professional associations, consult for major corporations, and provide pro bono work for nonprofit organizations.
The school regularly organizes and hosts business forums ranging from this year's Choice Symposium to impact conferences which bring together business leaders for forward-thinking discussions on the issues affecting management today.
In January 2009, the School hosted the inaugural University of Miami Global Business Forum, which brought together some of the world’s most influential thought leaders for two days of forward-thinking discussion on Harnessing the Power of the Connected World, the theme of the conference.
Other such Forums include South Florida Real Estate: Boom and Bust – Reflections on the Past and Realistic Perspectives for the Future. This forum, held in April 2008, brought together leaders in the South Florida real estate industry and resulted in a published assessment of the state of the sector and its outlook for the future.
