Canes Behavioral Laboratory
Fostering Marketing Research That Drives Business Change
The Canes Behavioral Laboratory is a state-of-the-art research facility designed for advanced, technology-driven marketing research. The lab enables the School’s faculty to conduct leading-edge marketing research in a controlled environment.
The lab was officially launched in 2008 and was designed by Dr. Michael Tsiros, who also serves as its Director.
The lab includes:
- 31 networked computer workstations
- 800 square feet of research space
- Leading behavioral research software
- Computer joysticks and headsets for studies requiring audio
The lab’s advanced technology enables researchers to take advantage of tools ranging from interactive surveys to virtual environments that simulate product features so they can learn how people react in actual situations. Each semester, as many as 700 undergraduate business students participate in research conducted in the lab to meet a course requirement or as extra credit..
