Jeff Heebner joined the School of Business in 2008. As executive director for communications, he leads the School’s global marketing communications program and is responsible for unifying a comprehensive communications agenda across all units and for setting the School’s marketing communications goals and objectives.
Heebner came to Miami from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, where he was managing director for marketing communications. In that role, he managed all of the school’s strategic marketing and branding activities including media relations, advertising, e-marketing, direct mail, magazine and brochure production, and Web development.
Heebner began his career in broadcast journalism and worked as a television reporter, anchor and producer for more than 10 years in several markets including Washington, D.C., where he earned two Emmy Award nominations. He holds an MBA from the University of Maryland’s Smith School and a BA from Temple University in Philadelphia.
Prior to joining the Smith School, Heebner managed a full-service public relations and marketing firm, which he co-founded in Washington, D.C.
