U.S. Debt Default Fears Overblown, Says Finance Professor
As the debate over raising the U.S. debt ceiling drags on, some now believe the nation is on the brink of defaulting on its debt and warning of economic disaster - major sell-offs on exchanges around the world, spikes in interest rates and the collapse of the dollar.
But Sandro Andrade, an assistant professor of finance at the School of Business Administration, says such fears may be overblown.
