MBAs Compete in Project Management Competition

The competition is part of PMI’s Outreach Program, an educational initiative that enables students to work with professional project managers and gain a realistic business experience. Each team was assigned a South Florida PMI member who acted as their mentor and coach throughout the competition. Other chapter members served as judges.
The winning team received a $1,500 prize and an invitation to showcase their project to the industry during the chapter’s December dinner meeting. The second-place team received a $700 prize. The third-place team received copies of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) – Third Edition. Each participant also received a certificate.
