School of Business Named Academic Partner for "The Middle Market: Our World of Opportunity" Conference in Miami

The University of Miami School of Business Administration has been named by the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors as the academic partner for its winter conference, “The Middle Market: Our World of Opportunity,” which will be held in Miami January 14-17, 2013.
The Alliance leadership says naming Miami as the location for the conference and the School as the academic partner serves as an important step to better serve and harness the resources, opportunities and players within this highly fragmented sector.
“Our goal, with this conference and with selecting Miami, the port of call for North American and cross-border opportunity, as the Host City, and the appointment of the University of Miami School of Business as the Academic Partner, is to accelerate the role of the middle market as a massive engine to transform business, renew prosperity and drive economic opportunities – both here in the U.S. and around the globe – immediately and over the long term,” said Michael Nall, CEO and co-founder of the Alliance.
With Miami as the Host City for the conference, leading executives, investors, intermediaries, and trusted advisors who share a passion and focus on driving performance and deal-making in the middle market – those companies with transaction value between $5 and $500 million - will have the opportunity to gather together in the ‘gateway to Latin America,’ and one of the most critically important business, economic, and investor regions of the U.S., said Benjamin Roberts, a conference committee Member and Managing Partner of Bergin, Roberts & Co, a leading South Florida-Based investment and finance firm.
