The School of Business hosted more than 50 executives from Latin America for a weeklong business certificate program in June.
The program, delivered in Spanish and Portuguese, is part of the School’s Executive Education program and includes graduate courses leading to a Certificate in Administration and Business for the Executive Manager (CABEM), a Certificate in Logistics and Transportation for the Executive Manager (CELTEM), and a Certificate in Innovation and Competiveness Management for the Executive Manager (CISMEN). The program includes corporate visits, an Internet preparatory module, and a class module taught by School of Business professors and industry leaders.
“These programs demonstrate our deep commitment to Latin America and training its emerging managers in state-of-the-art management techniques,” said Arun Sharma, chair of the marketing department and vice dean for strategic initiatives at the School of Business.
Participants came from several countries including Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal, Ecuador, Columbia and Venezuela. During the program, they toured the passenger and cargo facilities at the Port of Miami to observe operations.
Participants in the program receive a certificate of completion.
