Management Lecturer Wins Best Paper Award at Chinese Management Research Conference

Chei Hwee Chua, a management lecturer, won the Conference Theme Best Paper Award at the 2016 International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) Conference in Hangzhou, China in June.
The paper, “The Dynamic Alignment of Multicultural Experience and Identities in Intracultural and Intercultural Negotiations,” explores how and when multicultural experience (MCE) influences negotiation outcomes and proposes dynamic alignments among MCE, strength of local and global identities, and intra- versus intercultural negotiation contexts.
IACMR is a professional academic organization that serves scholars, students, managers, and consultants who are interested in advancing knowledge and promoting scholarly studies about management of organizations operating in the Chinese context. It has grown to be the world’s largest academic association for Chinese management research, with over 8,000 registered members.
The 2016 conference showcased the work of the world’s top scholars involved in research on Chinese Management.
