The students taking part in the internships at Dasani Jewels, which were arranged by Barbara Black, a marketing lecturer, included Gesy De Souza and Theresa Schwark, both marketing minors; and Nadia Ismael a student from the School of Communications.
De Souza and Schwark worked with Dasani to develop a marketing plan and launch for a new store in South Miami, while Ismael learned how to market jewelry through social media.
Dasani Jewels recently launched a new line of silver and gold necklaces for University of Miami sororities. De Souza and Schwark also worked with Dasani on that project, designing the necklaces featuring each sorority’s Greek letters and symbols.
