Members of School’s First Class in New Miami Executive MBA for the Americas Program Among Nearly 260 Graduates Taking Part in Fall Commencement

Nearly 260 graduate and undergraduate students celebrated their graduation from the School of Business December 17. The graduates included 21 members of the School’s first class in the new Miami Executive MBA for the America’s program. The program began in August 2014 with executives from across the U.S. and countries including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Israel, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama and Venezuela.
The fall MBA graduating class also included students from the School’s Full-Time MBA, Professional MBA, Executive MBA (Puerto Rico and main campus), and Executive MBA in Health Sector Management and Policy programs. Students also graduated from the School’s Master of Accounting and Master of Taxation programs. The accounting program included a fourth generation ‘Cane, Victoria Stahre, whose mother, grandfather, grandmother and great grandfather all graduated from the University of Miami.
Other members of the fall class included 100 graduates who earned bachelor’s degrees from the School. Those graduates came from across the U.S. as well as from such countries as Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, China, France, Guyana, Honduras, India, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Russia, Sweden and Tunisia.

The commencement ceremony was followed by a reception for family, friends, faculty and staff. The day before, top graduate students and faculty were honored in an awards ceremony.
