School’s Executive MBA Program Ranked Among World’s Best - and No. 1 in Florida - by Financial Times
October 20, 2013
The Financial Times has ranked the School’s Executive MBA program No. 19 among all U.S. stand-alone Executive MBA programs. The School’s program is the only one in Florida to make the list of the newspaper’s 2013 ranking of the world’s top 100 Executive MBA programs, released Oct. 21. The School’s program is ranked No. 72 among all programs worldwide.
The School was also ranked No. 45 in the world for research, which reflects the academic strength of its faculty. It was also in the top-10 worldwide among schools with the highest percentage of female students. The research ranking is based on the number of faculty publications in leading academic and practitioner journals. The overall ranking is based on the research and other school data as well as a survey of the Executive MBA class that graduated three years ago. That survey measures how successful and satisfied graduates have been in their careers since earning the degree.
The School’s Executive MBA programs were featured prominently in an article accompanying the rankings. The article, which focused on how Miami has become a “hotspot” for Executive MBA programs, included quotes from Abraham Cherem Mizrahi and Eric Anderson, both students in the School’s Executive MBA programs, as well as from Dean Gene Anderson. In discussing the planned launched in August 2014 of a new Miami Executive MBA for the Americas* program, Anderson noted that people are "willing to travel from Bogota or Mexico City or even Lima to Miami every eight to 10 weeks" in order to attend the School's programs.
The School’s Executive MBA program, which is designed for accomplished professionals with management experience, has been offered since 1973, making it one of the nation’s longest-running programs. In addition to the traditional Executive MBA program and the new program launching next year, the School offers an Executive MBA in Health Sector Management and Policy program designed for those in the health care field and a Spanish-language Executive MBA program.
