School Welcomes New MBA Students
January 31, 2011
The School of Business welcomed more than 100 new students to its MBA programs in January. Students joined the School’s full-time MBA, the Executive MBA, and the MBA for Working Professionals programs which all held orientations for the spring semester.
The MBA for Working Professionals Program, which holds classes on Monday evenings and Saturday mornings, is designed for professionals with three to seven years of work experience.
The Executive MBA program, which welcomed 60 new students, is designed for more experienced professionals and executives. In addition to the traditional Executive MBA, the program is offered with a specialization in Health Sector Management and Policy.
The Health Sector Management and Policy track is for those seeking positions of leadership in health care and health-related organizations. Emphasizing the development of business, technical, administrative and leadership concepts as they apply to the health care industry, the program teaches practical administrative skills as well as broad strategic and theoretical perspectives. This year’s class is one of the largest health sector classes ever recruited, with a total of 39 students.
