DJ Nanda, professor of accounting, has won the “Outstanding Management Accounting Paper Award” from the American Accounting Association. He will receive the award at the organization’s 2015 Annual Meeting in August.
Nanda’s paper, “Is Corporate Social Responsibility an Agency Problem? Evidence from CEO Turnovers,” was co-authored with accounting PhD student John Barrios, and Marco Fasan from Ca Foscari University of Venice. The paper empirically examines the relationship between social responsibility, CEO turnover, and shareholder preferences.
