School to Launch Its First Fully-Online MBA Program
June 02, 2015
The School of Business is expanding its fully-online master’s degree offerings with an Online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. Classes in the two-year program, which is designed for working professionals, will begin in January, May and September each year, with the first class beginning in September 2015. Like the School’s on-campus Professional MBA program, the Online MBA program offers a challenging curriculum focused on global strategic thinking and analysis. The program will be the third fully-online master’s program to be launched by the School in 2015, following master’s programs in finance and accounting.
“The launch of our Online MBA program represents our commitment to developing innovative programs that enable busy professionals to earn a business degree from the University of Miami no matter where they live and work,” said Gene Anderson, the School’s dean. “Like our other fully-online programs, this new offering provides participants with a rigorous, yet flexible, curriculum that is taught by the same world class professors who teach our on-campus programs.”
In addition to taking the core MBA classes online, participants in the program will take one elective course. The course can be taken online or during a one-week residency on the School’s main campus in Coral Gables, Fla. An optional on-campus orientation at the beginning of the program is also offered.
Applications for the Online MBA program are now being accepted. Inaugural tuition discounts and merit scholarships are available for qualified applicants. Those interested in obtaining more information should contact an advisor at 888-994-5927.
The Online MBA program is pending approval from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the University of Miami Faculty Senate. More information about all of the university’s online programs can be found at www.miami.edu/online.
