More than 50 School of Business alumni joined other business professionals, Dean Gene Anderson, and other School administrators for a special networking reception in Panama in April. The event was held at the home of Ramon Madura (MBA ’90) and his wife Maria in Panama City.
The reception not only provided local alumni with the opportunity to connect, but also provided prospective students with a chance to learn more about the School’s MBA programs, which draw many executives from Panama and across Latin America.
The School has offered a Global Executive MBA program taught entirely in Spanish since 2011. And in August, the School will launch The Miami Executive MBA for the Americas program, which is also expected to draw executives living and working in Latin America. The new program will include both on-campus and distance learning, with participants meeting at UM just once every two months over 17 months.
