Management Lecturer Honored with Peruvian Community Award

Jose Romero-Simpson, a management lecturer, has won the 2016 Tumi USA Award. The award honors Peruvian immigrants who have shown dedication to work, professionalism and community service.
Romero-Simpson received the award as “Gran Amauta,” which refers to the “amautas,” who were teachers during the Inca Empire.
Romero-Simpson, who joined the School of Business in 1987, has taught for more than 25 years both in the U.S. and abroad and served as the dean of the Graduate School of Business of Universidad del Pacifico in Lima, Peru.
