Country Commercial Guides via the U.S. Commerical Service 
These are reports prepared annually by U.S. embassies which present a comprehensive look at countries' commercial environments. The topics include economy, politics, trade regulations, investment climate, and the marketing of US products and services.

International Monetary Fund SDDS Database
The IMF provides links to information about the data and data dissemination practices of those countries that subscribe to the Special Data Dissemination Standard.

Italy: National Institute of Statistics
Istat’s library is one of the richest with materials on statistic and economic subjects. It contains over 500,000 books and 2,800 periodicals. There is also a wealth of historical sources predating 1900.  NOTE:  After recent reorganization, content is only available in Italian.

Japan: Monthly Statistics
This report, published every month since 1947, aims at providing readers with up-to-date and fundamental economic and social statistics on Japan. It contains monthly, quarterly and/or yearly figures. About 4,000 statistical series in 180 pages are included in recent reports.

Newseum - Today's Front Pages
"Today's Front Pages" is an online presentation of one of the Newseum's most popular exhibits.  Every morning, more than 300 newspapers from around the world submit their front pages to the Newseum via the Internet.  Sixty-eight front pages are selected for display, both on the Newseum Web site and at a fixed location in downtown Washington, DC.  These pages are also available as PDFs from the Newseum site.

The 2011 Statistical Abstract

U.S. Dept. of Commerce makes their census data available at this site.  Obtain U.S. statistics on population, projections, income, labor force, educational attainment, computer use/ownership, foreign trade, and more.

U.S. Census Bureau American Factfinder 
Select data tabulations and maps from the data sets provided by the U.S. Census Bureau.  Data files contain statistics on community demographic profiles, housing, and industries, which can be downloaded into text or spreadsheet format.
