UM's innovative undergraduate business curriculum takes on a global perspective with hands-on real-world learning from day one, providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's increasingly competitive economy.
The School of Business Administration offers courses leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA).

Well-known music entrepreneur Steve Rifkind, CEO and chairman of SRC Records, spoke to marketing students from the School of Business in September about entrepreneurship and the impact of unconventional marketing strategies in the entertainment industry.

The School of Business Administration welcomes seven new faculty members, whose areas of expertise range from multinational corporate management to consumer behavior and social psychology. The appointments include faculty who join the School’s accounting, economics, management science, management, and marketing departments.

On Aug. 1, the School of Business welcomed Gene Anderson as its new dean. Since then, Dean Anderson has been meeting with many groups from the University community to discuss his vision, and has already begun working with business leaders to continue strengthening the School’s ties across the region’s business community.

The School of Business welcomes more than 550 new students as the fall 2011 semester begins. Orientation began on Aug. 15 with networking opportunities and workshops for the new full-time MBA class, while undergraduates were paired with peer counselors and attended academic meetings with the School's Dean beginning on Aug. 21.
